¡Admission Policy
The Graduate School of Education Masterfs Course aims to achieve the following educational and training objectives:
(1) To provide training and in-service education to cultivate schoolteachers with outstanding specialist knowledge, expertise, and practical proficiency befitting high-level professional designation.
(2) To undertake foundation training of researchers with the capacity for highly creative academic research and development and the potential to contribute to advancements across the whole spectrum of educational activity.
(3) To cultivate human resources capable of making contributions to a variety of areas in the knowledge-based society, demonstrating both the expertise to address a diversity of social needs and a profound knowledge of educational matters.

Purpose of the Graduate School of Education
The Graduate School of Educationfs purpose is to enable its students to acquire the advanced expertise and practical skills necessary to engage in education-related areas as professional and academic leaders. A humanist and scientific approach is taken to education and research, building on general and specialized knowledge acquired in undergraduate programs.

Requirement for the Degree
To complete the graduate schoolfs Masterfs Course, a student must have: (a) been enrolled in the program for a minimum of two years full-time in principle (one year if enrolled in the Short-Term Special Course; three or four years if enrolled in the Long-Term Study Program); (b) completed at least 30 credit hours in subjects offered in his/her major and other related majors, in accordance with the criteria prescribed by each major and the direction of his/her supervisor(s); (c) while enrolled, passed a final examination and a screening of his/her masterfs thesis or other output from research on a specified topic One year of full-time enrollment may be deemed sufficient for a student who demonstrates outstanding performance.

¡Degree
Designation on Degree Certificate
Each student completing the Masterfs Course in the Graduate School of Education will be awarded a masterfs degree. The degree name and major area of study will be recorded on the degree certificate as gMaster of Education.h However, a student who has undertaken research of a particularly interdisciplinary nature may request for his/her degree name to be recorded as Master of Arts. Such requests must be made under the direction of supervisors and are conditional on approval by the Faculty Council.
