“Strategies to Cultivate Competency in Classes” New Release

We are proud to announce the release of two new videos “Problem-solving” and“Grit” in our “Strategies to Cultivate Competency in Classes” series that explains how to foster student competencies using examples from actual classroom lessons.

The 10th IWG OECD Informal Working Group Meeting (IWG) was held

The 10th IWG meeting for OECD The Future of Education and Skills 2030 Project was held during October 23rd, 24th, and the 25th of 2019 at Ilsan and Seoul, Korea. Professor Matsuo Naohiro and Specially appointed lecturer Hasegawa Yuka from NGE attended the meeting.

As a outcome of our project, we have just released the following two videos: Video narratives that illustrate the concepts of OECD Learning Compass 2030, and “Teaching Strategies to Cultivate Competencies in Classes” instructional videos.

We held a workshop on competency development using 21CoDOMoS in the teacher license renewal program

On August 19, 2019, we conducted a workshop on competency development using our lesson video distribution system "21CoDOMoS" under the title of "Thinking about the ideal way of teaching to forster competences for children" in the teacher license renewal program.

OECD Education and Skill senior analyst Taguma Miho visited Tokyo Gaukgei University along with MEXT Elementary and Secondary Education Bureau Financial Affairs Division Deputy Director Suzuki Fumitaka and Minister's Secretariat International Affairs Division Deputy Director Horio Taka on June 19, 2019.

The 9th OECD Informal Working Group Meeting (IWG) was held in British Columbia, Canada, this past May of 2019. Tokyo Gakugei University Associate Professor and Research Organization for Next Generation Education member Tsukamoto Kentaro participated in the meeting.
