Curriculum Center for Teachers

The Curriculum Center for Teachers was established at Tokyo Gakugei University in April 2000 as a research Center to serve all colleges and universities along with many other constituencies in Japan. In addition, the Center seeks to provide information and services to the worldwide educational community.

The Center offers a wide range of research and development opportunities for educators. The primary aim of the Center is to provide opportunities for research about curriculum development and the structure of schooling. It also provides professional development for teachers.

Tokyo Gakugei University is recognized as one of the leading teacher preparation institutions in Japan. The University was founded in May 1949, combining four normal schools which had been in existence since 1873.
